The Wool& 100-day challenge

The what?

Wool is an exceptional clothing material. It provides excellent insulation, and keeps you warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. Wool is breathable, wicking away moisture to keep you dry and comfortable. It naturally resists odors, reducing the need for frequent washing. Moreover, wool is durable, offering long-lasting quality. Additionally, wool is biodegradable and eco-friendly, and not the least – it is sooo nice and smooth to wear.

In order to prove that wool really is as flexible and versatile as it is, the clothing company Wool& have what they call a 100-day challenge. Pick one of their (quite expensive) dresses, wear it (the same one and only) for 100 days and document every day, and by the end of the period you get a discount voucher.

A commercial stunt really, but one that is very easy to comply with. I love wool, and I really love Wool& dresses and wear them typically 95% of the time. So why not take on the challenge?

I tried spring 2023 and lasted for 42 days before a heat wave got the best of me and it simply wasn’t possible to wear a long-sleeve black dress. Still, during those 42 days, I realised a few things:

  1. Taking a picture of myself every single day is actually good for my self-esteem
  2. Posting it in the immensly positive Facebook group for Wool& resulted in so many encouraging, positive comments, which made me feel soooo good
  3. Nobody notices what you wear. Honestly, I had the same dress for 42 days and NO-ONE noticed. Sure, I pimped it with scarves, jackets etc, but still… So why have so many outfits??!!

So now I try again, and here is my documentation.
